Training Report - Aoyama 2

Dr.K and K participated in this training. It was minus 7 degrees Celsius at Aoyama. The travelled distance was 41km. It's snowing hard like the last training at Aoyama (cf. Aoyama). We started at the city of Tobetsu.

Both bikes are equipped with Nokian (Suomi) studded tires. K brought his rearmed first road racing bike for snow (cf. Oyafuru 20) as Tobetsu is infamous for strong snowfall.

Passing along the lakeside of the Lake Tobetsu-Fukuro. On the road of this part of the itinerary, uneven hard ice is concealed beneath the fresh snow as it was warm until the day before. Nokian studded tires aren't suitable for this road condition. We have difficulty in riding fast.

Snowfall is becoming harder. K wore ski glasses and both raised face covers to resist to strong snowfall.

The prefectual road was well snowremoved. But municipal roads weren't. Entering the city of Tobetsu quitting the prefectual road, we encountered barely compacted fresh snow which makes difficult to ride.

K struggled a lot to advance. But he could get back to the original point riding on bike.
