Training Report - Funaba-cho and Oyafuru

Dr.K and Tesseract participated in this training. It was 1 degrees Celsius in Funaba-cho. Our original training plan was to ride on the Mt.Teine. But the previous day, it didn't snow there. Therefore, roads were completely dry there. So Tesseract proposed to go to Oyafuru where it was snowing intermittently and we went there. Oyafuru is notorious for strong wind and ground blizzard. This is the training place of Tesseract. So he's inured to ground blizzard but Dr.K isn't.

The background is the Mt.Teine. The weather is good there.

In the region where the Mt.Teine is (except for montanous areas), it doesn't snow as much as Oyafuru.

We went to Funaba-cho and after that, we returned to Oyafuru and rode there. As the wind was strong, Tesseract had to incline the bike to balance.

Dr.K was surprised at strong wind and the ground blizzard of Oyafuru. But Tesseract said it was nothing, the real ground blizzard of Oyafuru is this (Oyafuru 8).

We passed the same road to return to Funaba-cho. You can see on these photos how he had to incline the bike against the wind.

Dr.K stayed behind Tesseract up to Funaba-cho.

We arrived to Funaba-cho. The face of Dr.K is red because of cold wind. The left side of his helmet is white because of the snow stuck by the strong wind.

And Tesseract. The left side of his helmet is white as well.

We commenced our ride up to the finish of this day. Tesseract attacked and rode at 50km/h for a while. 52.7km/h was registered on his on-board computer. On the flat road, it's rare to reach such a high speed with his super heavy studded tires: Mudmad of IRC with motorcycle studs.
After he led Dr.K for a while, he switched the head. He stayed behind him for a while but he couldn't keep up the speed.

Dr.K won this game.
